Hi! I am sure you all know me from my many movie appearances, advertisements, modeling and my books. But, if you don't, I am Brooke Shields! I was born May 31st 1965 in New York. I am the child of Terri and Frank Shields. My father was a Revlon Executive and my mother was a model. I have been famous every since my first appearance on an Ivory Snow advertisement when I was 11 months old. I really enjoyed acting and hoped to do it my entire life. Some of the first movies I took part in were Pretty Baby, The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Endless Holiday (1981).

During my childhood, I grew up in New Jersey. I spent my days going to school, playing with friends, and having lots of fun! As I grew older and became a teenager, I went to Dwight Englewood High School in New Jersey. My New Jersey roots make me very proud and I wish everyone could know how happy I am to have been able to grow up there!

Along with my acting I also model. One of the commercials I did was a Calvin Klein jeans commercial. During the commercial I said a line that has become more famous then I ever would have thought..."Nothing comes between me and my Calvins!" This line helped launch my career! Along with Calvin Klein jeans, I have also advertised Breck shampoo, Colgate toothpaste, and Band-Aids.

As my career went on I started becoming more and more famous, it was amazing! Then I heard terrible rumors saying that I was acting more celebrity then actress. Once I heard this, I decided something needed to be done. I then took part in Sahara (1983) and Brenda Starr (1989) to prove myself. I am sure that those people thought differently of me after that.

Then I decided that I needed to get a good education. I decided to take a break from my acting and go to Princeton University in New Jersey. Going to college was definitely the right choice! I proudly graduated in 1988.

After getting a good education in college, I decided to write a book! I felt that after college I needed to celebrate my education by writing a book to show all I had accomplished. I wrote an autobiography called On Your Own and it was a big hit. It was about my life and all the success and all the struggles I have had.

I then decided it was time I got back to my acting. I was soon back in business and played a role in Suddenly Susan. After that I appeared as Miley Stewarts mother in Hannah Monanta on Disney Channel. I really enjoyed going back to what I did best!

Then, after being in many relationships, I married tennis star Andre Agassi in April 1997! We lived together for less than two years and then separated. Luckily, in April 2001 I married my ex-Suddenly Susan writer, Chris Hency. Two years later, we had our first daughter and named her Rowaan. Rowaan is a beautiful baby girl and I love her very much.

After raising Rowaan for four years, in 2006 I decided to take part in the Doodle For Hunger program to support the Capuchin Food Pantry. The Capuchin Food pantry not only distributes free clothing, diapers, and toiletries but also has helped feed over 3,000 poor families in New York. My work benefited a good cause and helped many people.

I then decided to write another book about struggles throughout my life and called it Down Came The Rain. My book was such a success I appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show to publicizes it. On the show I was interviewed and I gave a short summary of my book. That book made me very proud of myself.

In 2006 when Michael Jackson died I was devastated. I spoke a very heart felt speech for him during his memorial. Michael Jackson and I were great friends and loved to hang out together. During the Memorial I started crying during my speech. I wish he was here today with me and I miss him very much.

I am now living a very happy life with my husband and daughter. I hope my daughter will follow in my footsteps and become a actress. After all I have been through acting is still my favorite thing to do and I hope to continue my entire life!

Note from Mrs. Ross: Nice job, try a stronger lead, par. two repeating yourself a little. Thanks!
